CUSTOM METAL STAMPING
From flat sheet to production-ready stamped parts

Blanking, piercing, bending and forming turn sheet metal into brackets, contacts and other custom components. The process and tooling are selected around your drawing, material and expected quantity.

Have a stamping drawing or sample? Send the material, thickness, quantity and key dimensions for engineering review.

What Happens During Metal Stamping?

A sheet or coil feeds into a press. A tool and die cut or form each feature. The part may then need deburring, finishing or assembly, depending on its use.

  • Blanking: cuts the outside profile.
  • Piercing: creates holes and openings.
  • Bending and forming: create tabs, flanges and three-dimensional features.
  • Drawing: forms deeper shapes when the material and design allow it.

Which Tooling Route Fits Your Part?

Single operation tooling

Considered for selected geometries and production quantities. The tooling cost and number of operations are reviewed together.

Progressive die stamping

Strip moves through multiple stations for repeat production of parts with several cut and formed features.

Deep drawing

Suitable for certain hollow or recessed shapes. Draw depth, thinning and corner geometry need early review.

The final route depends on geometry, material behavior, tolerance requirements and order volume.

Our Review and Production Steps

Drawing review

Confirm material, thickness, critical dimensions, burr direction and assembly fit.

Tool planning

Review strip layout, die clearance, forming sequence and sample inspection points.

Sample approval

Check key features and agree on any changes before repeat production.

Production and inspection

Monitor specified dimensions, formed features and appearance against the approved drawing.
