High-Reliability Stamping for Energy Equipment
Building turbines, exchangers, enclosures, or power electronics demands metal parts that survive heat, pressure, and corrosion—without blowing your budget. Our sheet metal stamping programs are tuned for energy-sector duty cycles: stable dimensions, clean edges, and finishes that last.
What Makes Our Process Different
- Application-driven die design: bend allowances, grain direction, and draw beads modeled to your load case—thermal, vibration, or pressure.
- Press & tooling match: tonnage, stroke, and shut height selected to minimize springback and hold flatness on thick gauges.
- Finish integration: shot-blast, passivation, anodize, zinc/nickel, e-coat—qualified to your salt-spray or chemical exposure targets.
Material Playbook for Energy Systems
- Stainless steels (304/316/409): boiler skins, ducting, burner shields—good weldability and oxidation resistance.
- Titanium grades: heat exchangers, seawater circuits—lightweight with excellent chloride resistance.
- Aluminum (5xxx/6xxx): inverter housings, HVAC panels—low mass, high conductivity; ideal for cooling surfaces.
- Coated steels (galv/Al-Zn): outdoor enclosures—cost-efficient corrosion protection for utility sites.
DFM tip: keep bend radius ≥ material thickness, add reliefs at tight corners, and standardize hole families to reduce die inserts and cycle time.
Process Snapshot: Air-Cooled Heat Exchanger Header
- Spec & stack-up: operating temp/pressure, gasket compression, and weld allowances defined.
- Blanking: laser/turret nest optimized for yield with burr control on sealing edges.
- Forming: staged bends with back-gauge compensation to hold port true-position.
- Joining: TIG/MIG/spot per joint map; distortion managed with fixtures and staggered welds.
- Finish & test: passivation or coating, leak check on assemblies, CMM on critical features.
Quality You Can Audit
- Incoming: mill certs, thickness/hardness checks.
- In-process: bend angle, flatness, hole true-position SPC.
- Final: cosmetic A-surface, dimensional report (FAI/PPAP on request).
Compliance & Confidentiality
We respect IP and environmental obligations. Drawings, tooling, and process data stay within the project team under NDA; finishes are specified to meet your site or regulatory requirements.
