Connector Configurations and Mating Interfaces

A connection layout should account for hose direction, thread engagement, coupling access and the space needed to connect or remove the mating part.

Straight and Threaded Connections

Straight connector bodies and threaded adapters can be reviewed for inline installations, equipment ports and manifold interfaces. Specify the thread standard, sealing method and required engagement.

Elbow and Quick-Connect Designs

Right-angle layouts and quick-connect configurations address different routing and maintenance needs. Mating geometry, locking features and seal details must be defined for the intended system.

Manufacturing from Drawing to Finished Components

Engineering Review: Confirm the material grade, drawing revision, mating dimensions, thread specification, sealing surfaces and production quantity before planning the process.
CNC Turning: Review external diameters, bores, shoulders, grooves and threaded features against the component drawing. Identify the surfaces that control assembly fit.
Secondary Machining: Plan milling, drilling or other operations for flats, side features and mounting details where required. Confirm edge conditions and deburring requirements.
Cleaning and Assembly: Define cleanliness, handling, seal installation and packaging requirements. Any springs, seals and other purchased components need agreed specifications.

Define Inspection and Functional Test Requirements

Dimensional inspection and functional testing answer different questions. A project specification should state both the features to measure and the performance that the assembled connection must demonstrate.

Performance is confirmed for the specified design. Pressure rating, coolant compatibility, leakage limits and service life are not established by appearance. Test capability, method and acceptance criteria are agreed during project review.
