Bearing & Seal FitsDiameter tolerance and surface condition affect assembly, support and sealing performance.

Concentricity & RunoutRelated diameters and functional faces must be referenced to the correct datum axis.

Surface FinishApply roughness requirements only to the functional surfaces that need them.

Edge ConditionsSpecify chamfers, radii, undercuts, deburring and allowable sharp edges.

A general tolerance is not enough for every shaft feature.
Bearing seats, seal areas, threaded sections and non-functional diameters often need different controls. Mark the functional interfaces and GD&T requirements clearly on the drawing.
